How it works
Percentage = CGPA × multiplier. Many Indian universities and boards use 9.5 for a 10-point CGPA, so 8.2 CGPA is 77.9%. To go back, CGPA = percentage ÷ multiplier. Some universities publish their own conversion formula or table, and that is the one that counts for applications.

A CGPA of 8.2 with a multiplier of 9.5 gives 77.9%.
