How it works
Days and weeks are added as a number of calendar days. Months and years move the month and year and keep the same day of the month. If that day does not exist in the new month, the result is the last day of that month, so one month after 31 January is 28 or 29 February.
Example
30 days after 1 October is 31 October. Three months after 31 January is 30 April.
