Work in focused bursts with this free Pomodoro timer. The classic pattern is 25 minutes of work followed by a 5-minute break, with a longer break after four rounds. Change the lengths to suit you, press Start and a sound plays when each session ends.
How it works
The Pomodoro Technique, created by Francesco Cirillo, splits work into short timed sessions with breaks. Each work session is called a pomodoro. After the chosen number of rounds you take a longer break. The timer uses your device clock, so it stays accurate even if the tab is in the background, although your browser may delay the sound.
Keep this page open while you work. The tab title shows the time left.
Example
With the default settings you work for 25 minutes, rest for 5, repeat, and after four work sessions rest for 15.
