How it works
Rectangle: length × width. Circle: π × radius². Triangle: base × height ÷ 2. One square metre is 10.7639 square feet. The cost is the area multiplied by the price per square unit you enter, in the same unit as your measurement.
Add extra for waste and cutting when you buy materials. Ten percent is a common allowance.
Example
A 12 ft by 10 ft room is 120 square feet, which is about 11.15 square metres. At 3.50 per square foot, flooring costs 420.

Multiply length by width, both in feet. For an irregular room, split it into rectangles and add them.
How much extra material should I buy?
